I recently had a bit of an experience at a motel that could have been great, but there were definitely some bumps along the way. Starting with the good stuff, I really appreciated the size of the room. It had a mini kitchen with all the essentials like a toaster, microwave, and a dining table for two, which made it easy to whip up a quick meal without having to go out all the time. That’s always a plus when you're trying to save a bit of cash! The room overall was clean and tidy, so at first glance, it looked promising. Now, let’s talk about the not-so-great bits. One of the biggest issues was the atmosphere of the place. The decor felt mismatched and a little tired, which wasn’t a huge deal, but it didn’t really give off a nice vibe. The floors could have used a solid cleaning because, by the time I walked around, my feet were black from the dirt—so not ideal! And seriously, the bath mat looked like it should have been placed at the door for wiping muddy shoes, not for stepping out of the shower. The noise situation was something, too. I woke up at the crack of dawn to the sound of an alarm blaring from the next room followed by this ridiculously loud shower. It felt like I was in a plumbing symphony! I was actually up sick—totally ruined the experience for me. There was also this weird setup with no staff anywhere in sight for check-in or check-out. Just some keys left on a bench with our name on a paper. I didn’t mind it too much, but it did feel a bit impersonal. Had I needed any recommendations or questions answered, I would've been pretty stuck. no contact with anyone to let me know about some plumbing work going on, which made for an unnerving arrival. Oh, and take care with their glassware! I found shards of broken glass on the floor right near the entrance—thankfully I checked before stepping on it barefoot. At least the location was decent for getting around Mittagong and Bowral, so it wasn’t a total loss. Honestly, if the management could sort out the cleanliness and maybe give the place a bit of a facelift, along with some better customer service, it might not be such a bad spot after all.

We had a pleasant stay for overnight travellers.
There were central heating, iron and ironing board, and TV in the room, thoroughly enjoyed that. The hotel was in the central setting handy to event. What's more, it was close enough to the Southern Highlands of NSW, the beautiful garden and the shopping center.

The staff was super welcoming, and you could tell the housekeeping team put a lot of effort into keeping everything spotless. I appreciated having a comfy bed and a clean bathroom, which is always a big plus for me. The location was perfect for a quick getaway from Sydney to Melbourne, making it a convenient stop. It felt like good value for money, especially compared to some previous places I’ve stayed at!
There were a couple of things that could be improved. The road noise was a bit noticeable, which impacted the peacefulness of the stay.

The room was both nicely equipped and good-sized with bathroom, best kitchenette plus crockery. The accommodation had a central location in the beautiful garden.
Didn't like the staff, some of them were not particularly helpful.
